Mail Server : Filter Spam Emails In Outlook Express
As you may have noticed, some of the emails which are coming into your mailbox on the new email server have the word [SPAM] before the subject. These emails have been classified by are spam filters as junk email. Follow the steps below to automatically move these emails into a Spam folder when they are downloaded into Outlook Express.
1. Open Outlook Express by double-clicking on the icon located on your desktop
2. In your folder list on the left side of the Outlook Express interface, right-click (by using the right mouse button) the "Local Folders" and left-click "New Folder".
3. In the Folder name: text box, type the name "SPAM" and click "OK".
4. You should now have a folder called SPAM underneath your Local Folders.

5. Using your left mouse button click on Tools > Message Rules > Mail.
6. Click on "New" to bring up the New Mail Rule dialog menu.
7. In the "Select the Conditions for your rule" box place a tick in "Where the subject line contains specific words"
8. In the "Select the Actions for your rule" box place a tick in "Move it to the specified folder"
9. In the "Rule Description" box click on the blue link "contains specific words" and in the new box type in [SPAM] and then click "Add" and then "Ok"
10. Again in the "Rule Description" box click on the blue link "specified" and double click on the newly created SPAM folder. The completed box should look as below:

11. Press the "OK" button twice to take you back to the main Outlook Express screen. Outlook express is now ready to move spam emails into the SPAM folder.
12. Be sure to check the SPAM folder occasionally to be sure that no legitimate emails may have been classified as spam.
